Book club [October 2020]
This October, we are getting spooky. Give me all the horror and thriller books! In honor of the scariest month of the year and Latinx Heritage month, the My Night's Book Clubbed choice is Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Fabulous, but tough female protagonists, family secrets, and a creepy house? I am all for it this October. If you have Mexican Gothic on your TBR, or if you have already read it and are itching to chat about it, join My Night's Book Clubbed this month

Book club [September 2020]
September is upon us and I am craving cooler fall temps and cozying up with a historical fiction novel that will transport me to another time. This month's choices are two character driven historical novels with strong, female protagonists. There is no wrong choice this month and I look forward to hearing what the people want. Below is the September 2020 virtual book club choices. Join this month in the comments below or on IG @mynightsbooked and vote for your book choice.

Book club [August 2020]
I have been on a path of learning about anti-racism and broadening my viewpoint of what others that live in this country go through on a daily basis. Reading is an escape for me, but I also use it to educate myself and learn about things bigger than my small world. Living in the rural Midwest can feel like you are living in a vacuum bubble. I am done being naïve and ignorant to the fact that there are people struggling to get by each day and I am making it a point to read

Book Club [July 2020]
I have been having so much fun hosting author Q&As for the last two book club picks. I hope to keep those rolling in upcoming months because it has been a great way to appreciate these amazing books even more. This month, I am honoring Black female authors and have selected two backlist books to chose from. Both should be readily available at your public library and easy to get your hands on. (Hopefully your library is at least offering curbside pick up!) Both are dynamic f

Book club [May 2020]
I took a month off from book club in April because I was not feeling especially inspired and motivated, given the current situation we are all facing. The libraries are starting to "open" (mine started curbside pick up this week!) the weather is warming up, and I am feeling motivated again, so let's dust off those Book of the Month picks taking up space on our shelves. If you are like me, you have a minimum of ten unread BOTM picks on your shelves that you keep promising yo

Book club [February 2020]
Ah, Valentine's Day. A day to show our loved ones just how much we care about them. A day filled with hearts, roses, and chocolates. A red and pink explosion of emotions. To celebrate this over commercialized "love" day, it is only fitting that we have book club choices about crazy couples and their dark and twisted secrets. You didn't think I was going to choice a romance novel for our February book club pick, did you?? 😊 Oh no, no. My Night's Book Clubbed does not ad

Book club [January 2020]
I debated doing personal development book choices for January, being that it is the new year and seemed fitting, but to shake things up I want to give attention to a back list book. The book community is constantly flooded with the newest, shiniest, most recent release. It becomes a rat race of who has the biggest stack of ARCs, who received the most coveted new release from a publisher, and who has the most aesthetically pleasing photo with the most likes and comments. Book club [December 2019]
I admit that I am not much of a romance person. While I love a good love story and tear jerker, I do not spend much time reading them because I am more drawn to thrillers and suspense. My cold, dark heart has thawed since joining this book community and I have been exposed to some well written and amazing romance novels. For December's book choices for My Night's Book Clubbed, it only seems fitting to have a contemporary romance book choice. Below are two romance novels t
